Brazoria county has two beautiful beaches that are located on the Gulf of Mexico which includes the communities of Surfside and Quintana.  They are both small coastal communites, each features county parks, with boardwalks to the beach, showers, and restrooms. Its the perfect place to go shelling, birding, take a walk or just relax.
